The Garfield Heights Figure Skating Club (GHFSC) is an affiliate of US Figure Skating. It seeks to promote both recreational and competitive figure skating. GHFSC is also the home of nationally renowned Synchronized skating teams and sponsor of the Rising Stars Figure Skating Competition held annually in November.
The club is located at the Dan Kostel Recreation Center, 5411 Turney Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio which is a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. The club was organized in 1971. It currently has 60 members, the vast majority of whom are active freestyle and synchronized team skaters.
The club promotes freestyle, moves in the field, dance and synchronized team skating. USFS sanctioned tests are held semiannually. The Club's Rising Stars Figure Skating Competition draws competitors at the Open-Juvenile level and under.
